Entrepreneur ranks Nevada motor home rental company as one of top 500 franchise opportunities

Las Vegas-based Bates International Motor Home Rental Systems, Inc., a leading provider of recreational vehicle (RV) rentals and revenue sharing opportunities, has been ranked as one of the 500 top franchises in the United States by Entrepreneur Magazine for 2007, and the company has been published on Entrepreneur Magazine’s Franchise 500 list. World’s leading video gamer to appear at Fashion Show, Boulevard and Meadows malls

Johnathan Wendel, known by his moniker “Fatal1ty,” has been recently featured on CBS? 60 Minutes and in many major national publications, including TIME and Sports Illustrated. He has dominated the PC-gaming field since 1999, winning 12 championships and collecting more than $500,000 in prize money and well over $1 million beyond that in sponsor deals.

Wendel, the world?s first full-time and leading professional video gamer, will appear at Fashion Show from 1 to 5 p.m. on July 28. He will sign autographs, demonstrate his video gaming skills on the giant LED screens that hang over Fashion Show?s runway in The Great Hall and challenge audience members.

Sept 20 – Information technology expert to speak at September event

Wednesday, September 26, 2007 – presented by Joseph Marcella, City of Las Vegas, CIO/Director of Information Technologies

 

Mr. Marcella is the first and current Director of the Department of Information Technologies at the City of Las Vegas. He has held this position since the Department was created by the Mayor and Council in 1997. Mr. Marcella’s prior experience is primarily from the private sector, most recently as Senior Vice President and Director of Information Systems at Norwest Bank (now Wells Fargo). He has logged a total of 37 years in Information Systems; 28 in the management of business technologies.

Mr. Marcella has been credited in both the private and public sectors with numerous firsts. The City of Las Vegas is one of a few Government entities to earn an Oracle showcase designation; Las Vegas has been nationally recognized for its successful introduction and deployment of City wide ERP systems, Internet Mapping utilities; e-Payment processes, 4th generation interactive Web site (winner of the Center for Digital Government’s Best of the Web) and has been designated one of the most wired cities in the Untied States for Internet services.
