BizMobile Gears Up For Second Rural Business Outreach Tour

Posted Thursday, August 30th, 2007

This September, tax, global trade and incorporation experts will once again board the State’s business ambassador on wheels — the BizMobile —for a four-day whistle stop tour of rural Nevada. These experts will join representatives from the Nevada Small Business Development Centers with the goal of helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses and provide a running start for those rural residents who want to launch a new business.

The tour includes stops in Elko, Caliente, Hawthorne and Yerington. Once in the city, the BizMobile will unload its resources and set up a business expo for the rural business owners and entrepreneurs. This is a cooperative effort between the Nevada Commission on Economic Development (NCED), Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NCET) and more than a dozen other agencies. It is modeled after the successful “Entrepreneur Expo” held last March and the inaugural BizMobile tour held in June.

The bus will be full of experts who can help jump-start entrepreneurial ventures and provide advice on virtually every facet of starting and running a business. The NCED is working with development authority partners in each city.

The whistle-stop tour will include an Expo and free workshops from 3 to 8 p.m. in every location. Stops are planned in:

• Elko, Sept. 10, at the Elko Visitors and Convention Center, 700 Moren Way, Elko, NV

• Caliente, Sept. 11, at the Caliente Youth Center, US Hwy. 93 N, Caliente, NV

• Hawthorne, Sept. 12, at the El Capitan Casino, 540 F St., Hawthorne, NV

• Yerington, Sept. 13, at the Casino West Convention Center, 11 N St., Yerington, NV

For details on the location of each rural Nevada workshop, visit www.nevadabizmobile.com or call 775-687-4325.
