Desert Research Institute (DRI) is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a year-long series of lectures by its researchers. The first event will be held on Thursday, May 7 at the Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences (TCES) at Sierra Nevada College (SNC) in Incline Village. The presentation starts at 4 p.m. on the dock of the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe with a reception and lecture to follow from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at SNC. Jim Thomas, DRI’s Director of the Watersheds and Environmental Sustainability Center, will be the speaker. Read more:
