DRI’s Peter B. Wagner Medals of Excellence announced

Desert Research Institute (DRI) celebrated the research faculty recipients of the Peter B. Wagner Medal of Excellence recently. Ross Edwards of Reno and Jianting Zhu of Las Vegas were recognized. Edwards, in the Division of Hydrologic Sciences, is the 2007 Wagner wagnermedal.jpgwinner. Zhu, also from the Division of Hydrologic Sciences, is the 2008 Wagner winner. Each will receive a $1,500 prize and medallion symbolizing their achievement.

“Ross Edwards and Jianting Zhu are two fine young researchers who have both distinguished themselves in the areas of research, publications, peer recognition, and service,” said Stephen Wells, DRI President. “Ross should be congratulated for his cutting edge research and analysis, which has led to key insights into climate. Jianting has been particularly impressive with his first-authored publications, reports and presentations. I’m also very proud of both of them for the role they have played in mentoring young students.” Read full story:
