Washoe County has received stimulus funding to pay for fire ecosystem restoration projects in the area. On April 22, you are invited to a free workshop where Lynda Nelson, Parks and Open Space Manager and Cheryl Surface, Park Planner, will talk about the project and bid process. The County hopes to accept bids from landscaping contractors for:

· Mapping
· Seeding
· Planting trees and shrubs
· Soil erosion control
· Weed eradication
· Irrigation
· Thinning of trees and brush
· Disease and insect control
· Products related to the above activities, such as seed and plant material
