Minden girl turns horse-training entrepreneur

Loagan Furry gently slides her boot into the stirrup, lifts up and holds her body close to the horse’s head. She drops back down. She repeats the gentle movement. clip_image001

She steps up again, this time swinging her leg over the saddle and smiles.

Her father stands nearby, looking on.

“This horse damn-near killed her two weeks ago,” Matt Furry said.

Loagan Furry is only 17, but already has a leg up on most teenagers. The Minden girl graduated early from high school to start her own horse training ranch and film a reality television show about her trials as a cowgirl entrepreneur. Read full story:
