Companies

Technology Company of Year

Presented to the technology company headquartered in Northern Nevada that has been in operation before January 1, 2008, and that achieves significant sales/revenue growth, employee growth, and a positive effect on the area’s technology industry. Special consideration will be given to companies that demonstrate significant patent, R&D and IP activity.

Technology Start-up

Presented to the most promising start-up technology company in Northern Nevada. Company must have been established after January 1, 2008.

Green Company of the Year

Presented to the company that creates or produces products or services that best employ clean, renewable or efficient energy technologies and services, or products that best support sustainable practices.

People

Technology Entrepreneur of the Year

Presented to the CEO or founder of a technology company headquartered in Northern Nevada that has achieved significant sales or revenue growth, employment growth, product innovation, national recognition, etc. Special consideration will be given to individuals who demonstrate industry leadership by being involved in industry trade organizations, legislative activities pertinent to the technology Industry, or other civic or community involvement.

Chief Information Officer / Chief Technology Officer

Presented to the technologist for excellence in the technical performance of his/her employer’s organization. Must demonstrate exceptional leadership through the innovative and effective use of technology in support of the strategic initiatives of his/her organization. Must represent the highest standard of leadership in technology in his/her organization.

Technology Educator of the Year

Presented to an effective, engaging instructor that inspires passion and commitment from his or her students while advancing their critical thinking ability, skills and knowledge in challenging, meaningful ways. Strong advocate for the study of technology, making technology accessible to all students, and building an inclusive culture. A role model for colleagues; committed to ongoing personal and peer professional development. Establishes /evolves/communicates best practices.
