NCET CEO delivers Morrison commencement speech

NCET (Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology) CEO Dave Archer recently had the honor of delivering the commencement address to the summer graduating class of Morrison University in Reno. The university is an independent educational Dave at Morrion Grad 2institution viewed as a strong and vital member of Reno’s professional business community.

During his speech, Archer discussed emerging business trends and the role entrepreneurship will play in long-term economic recovery. He also offered the following words of advice and encouragement.

“Today, companies recognize that they need innovators in the workplace – people who come in and bring excitement, enthusiasm and new ways of thinking and doing,” said Archer. “They’re looking for game changers who can also be team players who help build and enhance a company brand. If you can combine those qualities, you have a very bright future ahead of you.”

Archer also touched on the contrasts we’re likely to see in an ever-changing future job market, noting, “Some industries will shrink…or even disappear. Some will expand. Others will morph and change into new hybrids of what they previously were. The keys to your successes will be in your ability to adapt and change in such a way that allows you to take advantage of the employment and business opportunities that are out there.”

Morrison graduated 46 students in its ceremony. Morrison is the only school in Northern Nevada offering the “Fast Track” to develop qualified students with the functional expertise and competence needed to lead and manage in a dynamic business environment.
