Did you know that Reno is home to a thriving state-of-the-art candy production facility boasting a customer base stretching from coast to coast and more than eight international countries? That chocolate confection company is Kimmie Candy.
The driving force behind Kimmie Candy is Joe Dutra and his 43 employee team. With humble beginnings in farming, agricultural consulting, and the international seed business, Joe redirected his efforts in the year 2000 to serve an untapped market for “Made in America” panned, chocolate confections. With the creation of nationally branded Sunbursts®, ChocoRocks®, and new protein-infused candies, Joe’s instincts were proven correct.
