Nevada 4-H Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (S.T.E.M.) Day Camp – July 20-24
University of Nevada Cooperative Extension’s (UNCE) Lifelong Learning Center is holding a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) day camp from July 20-24. The day
camp, open to youth between the ages of 12-15, will include activities in basic sciences, nutrition science, alternative energy, GPS/GIS, digital camera, robotics and rocketry.
Youth participants will get to build and race a robot, build and launch straw and paper rockets, as well as build an Estes rocket to take home. Other activities include building an altimeter and hands-on experiments with alternative energy.
UNCE Lifelong Learning Center is located at 8050 Paradise Road (at I-215 and Windmill Lane). Cost of the day camp is $140 and includes lunch and activities. For more information contact Tera Robinson at 702-257-5524 or e-mail robinsont@unce.unr.edu.
