Nevada emerges as heat waste player
That, apparently, is the question when it comes to tapping waste heat energy, including here in the Silver State.
Government incentives and the specter of cap-and-trade emission legislation have led to a spike in investments on green energy. But while solar and wind have the most mindshare with the public, "combined heat and power" — the primary vehicle for waste heat energy recovery — topped both in terms of installed capacity in North America last year, according to international research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan.
