BEP & NSBDC: Creating a Better Business Environment

The Nevada Small Business Development Center (NSBDC) is concerned with the health of southern Nevada businesses and our environment. A statewide resource for business assistance, the NSBDC provides a unique array of services, expertise and training in all areas including starting, growing and developing a business. The NSBDC also offers information and guidance in understanding and complying with environmental and safety regulations. Think “green” with the NSBDC’s Business Environmental Program (BEP) and find out how making environmentally sound choices mints another type of “green” for your bottom line.

BEP has been providing free and confidential environmental assistance to Nevada businesses since 1988. Within the program are specialists in handling hazardous waste, pollution prevention and safety issues. Reaching out to small business owners, BEP conducts year-round seminars on a variety of topics that include hazardous waste management, air permitting issues, industry specific special topics and much more. Another valuable service is on-site assistance and auditing. At the business owner’s discretion, BEP staff can review a company’s waste handling procedures, recordkeeping practices and overall process operations for reduction and cost-saving opportunities that may have been overlooked.
