NIREC Announces Request for Proposals
The Nevada Institute for Renewable Energy Commercialization (NIREC)
has opened a new call for proposals for clean energy innovations.
The proposal offers per project funding of up to $100,000 with an additional $50,000 in value-added services from NIREC.
The technology commercialization process requires significant time and dedication–and may not be not for everyone. NIREC seeks RFP responders who aspire to advance their clean energy technology toward a marketable product or service, and who are willing to put in the time and energy to leverage NIREC’s investment to make that happen.
The objective of this RFP is to oversee a competitive process to award funds to the most promising and competitive renewable energy or energy efficiency opportunities.
APPLICATION TRACKS
This RFP offers two award tracks:
- a NIREC Research Partner Track
- a U.S.-based Early-Stage Company Track
Information on track eligibility and requirements can be found in the NIREC 2009 Request for Proposal Application Guide, available on the NIREC website.
FUNDING & SERVICES
In each of these tracks, NIREC provides funding and pre-commercialization services worth up to $150,000 comprised of the following project scope elements:
- a maximum of 75% of applicant budget (up to $75,000) for technology development
