There is still time to get your nominations in before August 15 for the 2008 Governors Industry Appreciation Awards Dinner.  The 24^th annual awards dinner, held November 6, 2008 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at John Ascuaga’s Nugget in Sparks, recognizes new and existing Northern Nevada companies that have experienced extraordinary economic growth during the past year.  This year the “Distinguished Business of the Year” award includes four new categories that recognize community support, innovation, start-up and educational support and workforce.  Businesses eligible for the “Distinguished Business of the Year” award are any Northern Nevada business, while “Honoree” awards are presented to companies that are new to the region or have completed an expansion before June 30, 2008.  For more information about the criteria and to nominate a company,CLICK HERE.
