As leaders of the Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce began planning Directions 2010 last summer, they made a couple of big decisions.

First, they wanted speakers who would provide practical guidance that audience members could put to work as soon as they arrived back at their offices after the annual economic forecasting event.

Second, they wanted the event to conclude with a close look at the ways that national and regional trends will affect northern Nevada.

An audience of more than 500 business and civic leaders is expected for the annual event, which runs from 7 a.m. until noon Feb. 10 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. Read more:
