Secretary of State Talks Business with Area Entrepreneurs
Secretary of State Ross Miller met with 20 members of the Reno-Tahoe Entrepreneurs’
Organization recently to discuss how Nevada can attract more business, particularly entrepreneurs. Secretary Miller said the Nevada Business Portal will give businesses one more reason to incorporate in Nevada. When fully developed, the Portal will serve as a one-stop business customer service center where clients can conduct all their transactions with state and local government. Businesses will submit the required information only once, rather than provide it to each state and local agency, and will pay for all licenses and registrations in a single transaction. Annual renewals will be conducted through the Portal, as well.
“While we always want to encourage more businesses to incorporate in Nevada, we also want more businesses to actually set up shop here, hire Nevadans to work for them, and contribute to their communities,” Secretary Miller said. “The members of the Entrepreneur’s Organization and I talked about how we can do that by working together to be as competitive as we can be.”
