A small Reno company on the verge of technological success is in the running for an award that could propel it onto the global investment stage. Pindi, launched out of a Reno garage
eight years ago, has announced it is a finalist for the 2008 Frost & Sullivan Award for Hot Investment Opportunity in the glucose monitoring market. Scott Armstrong, Pindi co-founder and chairman, said Frost & Sullivan, a Texas-based worldwide research/consulting firm, nominated Pindi for its patented Pin-Scan device that reads blood-glucose levels without invasive measures that use needles and test strips.
