The Speaker:

Tom Axtell, General Manager of Vegas PBS in Las Vegas, Nevada, since 1994. Vegas PBS operates two television stations with 29 rural translators; 20 EBS stations; five educational cable channels; a satellite downlink network serving schools, colleges, and prisons statewide; a multimedia K-12 lending and duplication library; and a video conferencing/video surveillance/video-on-demand broadband service center. Mr. Axtell’s national experience includes service as a member of the PBS Board of Directors, the Task Force on More Effective Governance, the National Educational Telecommunications Network, Pacific Mountain Venture Network, and others. He currently serves on several Nevada boards and councils including the Nevada Broadcaster’s Association, Nevada Atomic Testing Museum, and United Way of Southern Nevada.
