UNR names new business school dean
Greg Mosier, a professor of business ethics and legal studies at Oklahoma
State University, has been named dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Nevada, Reno.
Mosier, 50, previously served as interim dean of the Spears School of Business and associate dean at Oklahoma State University.
Mosier will assume the job Aug. 1. He replaces Dana Edberg, who has served as interim dean since August 2006 when Mike Reed, the previous dean, was named vice chancellor of finance and administration for the Nevada System of Higher Education. UNR President Milton Glick said Mosier brings strong leadership and an understanding of how the business college relates to the community and the regional business community.
“We had a very strong pool of candidates, and every group of constituents that interviewed them concurred that Greg stood out,” Glick said. Mosier said the college “is positioned to move to the next level.”
