Vegas Venture Forum – May 30 -31
Leveraging each organization’s strengths, NCET (Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology) TBAN, The Vegas Valley Angels and Golden Capital Network are co-hosting the 2007 Vegas Venture Forum on May 30-31, 2007 at the Green Valley Ranch Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. The conference will feature over 40 venture capital funds and angel investors and 30 presenting companies in four broadly-defined sectors:Â
• Life Sciences
• Communications Technologies/Wireless/Semiconductor
• Software/Internet/New Media
• Emerging Technologies (with a special emphasis on Clean Tech)
Entrepreneurs interested in presenting at the Forum must submit up to a 3-page executive summary to entrepreneur@goldencapital.net. After screening by a selection committee to ensure quality, qualified entrepreneurs will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Initial cutoff date for submitting executive summaries is Friday, April 20. A maximum of 30 companies will be selected, so it is important to submit executive summaries into the process early!
With well over $1 billion in equity raised by alumni companies since 1999, Golden Capital Network continues to co-host some of the preeminent deal flow events in the western U.S. for active, accredited angel investors and institutional investors. Key components of the event include the Vegas Valley Angels hosting the exclusive “Power of Angel Investing – Angel Investing – An Overview” seminar, a program of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and Angel Capital Education Foundation; GCN’s “Entrepreneur’s Guide to Angling for Angels and Venture Capitalists” bootcamp; 30 presentations by emerging growth companies, and lots of networking!

This year’s event will also include a special, investor-only dinner focused on deal syndication and sector-specific keynote addresses by several high-profile venture capitalists. This is a once-a-year event in Las Vegas you won’t want to miss! Space at the venue is limited and open only to accredited angel or potential angel investors, institutional private equity funds and VCs by special invitation, event sponsors, CEOs/entrepreneurs, academia and researchers, policymakers and others interested in fostering a thriving technology sector in Southern Nevada and throughout the western United States.
