Workshop to detail federal grants – Dec 17
The Nevada Small Business Development Center will detail the availability of federal 
funding through the Small Business Innovation Research Program during a workshop in Reno.
The workshop will run 1-3 p.m. Dec. 17 in room 402 of the Ansari Business Building at the University of Nevada, Reno. It’s free, but registration is requested through 775-784-1717 nsbdc@unr.nevada.edu.
The workshop focus will be the Small Business Innovation Research Program and the related Small Business Technology Transfer program. They provide more than $2 billion annually to small companies and represent the largest source of early-stage funding for start-up companies in the United States.
The grants and contracts pay for research, innovation and general business needs.
