Gabrielle Brackett, MS, MPH – VP of Blog Content

Gabrielle Brackett is the Constituent Events Manager for the Alzheimer’s Association of Northern Nevada, a non-profit organization that works to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. She works with dedicated and passionate community partners, volunteers, constituents, and donors to raise funds and awareness for the Northern Nevada Walk to End Alzheimer’s and The Longest Day, the Association’s signature fundraising events.

She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2012 with bachelor’s degrees in journalism and political science. She then graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2013 with a master’s degree in journalism. During her time as a graduate student, Gabrielle focused on science and health care feature writing. Her growing interest in health care compelled her to pursue a second master’s degree in public health at the University of Nevada, Reno. She graduated in 2019.

Gabrielle previously worked for various media organizations including Swift Communications and the Reno Gazette-Journal. She currently serves on the Admissions Committee for the University of Nevada, Reno Honors College. In her spare time, she enjoys playing softball, golfing, writing, and spending time with her husband and two cats, George and Elizabeth Lemon.
